About British Krav Maga

British Krav Maga® is a network of Krav Maga Schools dedicated to promoting and training the Israeli system of Krav Maga.  The term British Krav Maga refers to the association of like-minded Krav Maga schools and practitioners, not a style or reinterpretation of Krav Maga.

British Krav Maga provides a series of reality based programmes of civil, military and close protection applications in addition to a full Junior programme.

British Krav Maga® provides professional coaching in authentic Krav Maga. British Krav Maga schools focus on delivering a nationally agreed curricula with an emphasis tough training, simplicity and realistic applicaton of technique.

We welcome students of all abilities and backgrounds. We believe that Krav Maga Instructors should be polite, professional and competent to develop students to their upmost potential.

We reject the awarding of Instructor grades to candidates who don’t meet a reasonable, professional standard. We also reject the use of  ‘Quick Instructor Courses’.both lack credibility and integrity.

Both lack credibility or integrity and undermine standards of teaching of Krav Maga.

We are open to debate, discussion and pressure testing. We welcome difficult questions and awkward scenarios. There is a real truth in these situations. We acknowledge that the stark reality of violence means that there is not always a perfect answer.

We are open to new, better or more efficient techniques and training. The point at which we believe we have all the answers is the point at which we begin to diminish.

Krav Maga is a personal protection system – not a martial art.

This is a vital distinction.

It defines who we are and how we train. Simplicity, intensity and realism are the foundations of our training. There are no abstract patterns or forms, just functional technique.

We cater for all levels from nervous beginner through to expert.

Whether its organisational politics or International politics. We avoid them.

As a British based, members organisation we have no remit or opinion on Krav Maga politics or middle east politics. Politics have no place in the gym.
